The Guest Barn was created by salvaging a nearby barn and corncrib that were about to be destroyed. The timbers from these buildings were torn down, moved to our farm piece by piece and rebuilt into a smaller 700 sq. ft. “new” barn. To enhance that true barn feeling the entire inside space is open, measuring a cozy 20'x26' main area. It may be small, but with the exposed original barn beams, high ceilings and repurposed materials the Guest Barn has the look and feel of an authentic, yet modern barn. It truly represents a real farm experience.
The Guest Barn can accommodate a maximum of 6 people. There are 3 beds: a full bed in one open loft, a queen bed in the other open loft and a queen sleeper sofa on the main level. A spiral staircase in the silo of the Barn leads to the lofts. All bedroom and bathroom linens are provided. In the bathroom you’ll find a shower and small “tub”. Bodywash is provided, bring your other toiletries. A kitchenette provides you with the opportunity to cook other meals. Here you’ll find a small stove, refrigerator, microwave, and coffeepot. Also furnished are tableware, cookware, and kitchen linens, as well as basic staples of salt, pepper, sugar, coffee and creamers. There is an outside table and grill for your use (charcoal is not provided).
Enjoy reading or playing games in the corner nook…books, magazines and games are provided. To keep things simple, there is not a T.V. Air conditioning provides comfort for warm days, while a gas fireplace provides a cozy setting on cold days.
The original barn, which once housed dairy cows and stored hay, has now been given a new life. One can be sure that the old barn created many great memories and stories within its walls. We hope to make your stay in the Guest Barn as memorable and pleasurable as possible!
